Volunteers are welcome, just contact any of our staff members wearing a sexy "The Dive Shop Cambodia" t-shirt! We will charge a small fee of $10 to cover costs from any volunteer. 1000 smiles 4 the Divemaster
The one who takes 1000 pictures of our diving and snorkeling guests smiling will become a PADI Divemaster course for free!
Very often people ask us if there is a chance to do the Divemaster course as an internship where you get the course for free and work for us in return. This brought us the idea of offering an intern involving a digital camera and offer the 1000 smiles 4 the Divemaster internship!
For further informations just come and see us in our shop or send a mail to info@diveshopcambodia.com

Koh Rong Island got listed by the New York Times as one of the 45 places to go in 2012
Yesterday I have read an article written by the New York Times, saying Koh Rong island got listed as one of the 45 places in the world to go in 2012!
Since around 3 years we are doing most of our inwater scuba training off the island. The Dive Shop has been the first western owned business based on the southern side of the island. Since, the island is becoming more and more popular and more and more businesses are opening up. Still, Koh Rong, which has a size of around 78m², is a beautiful place to learn scuba diving, snorkeling or just relax at one of the 27 beaches.
Have a look on the following links to read the whole article and see some more pictures:

The Dive Shop Team said goodbye to Eric this month as he has left us for the high season to dive in Indonesia. We sent him off with style and after a great night out waved him off on his long bus journey back to Bangkok airport. He also took our boss, Dennis with him for a scuba holiday in Bali. They are both missed and we are looking forward to Dennis rejoining us in the next week or so.
We also hope to see Eric again this year soon...

A new Dive Master for the Dive Shop team
The Dive Shop team welcomes Martin to Koh Rong. Martin, originally from Poland, joins us from the UK where he was working at Sea Style Diving for 14 months previously. He has been diving for three years now and traveling the globe, including scuba in the UK, Red Sea, Mexico, Egypt, Scarpa Flow and Thailand. With his extensive knowledge of a wide variety of diving, including deep, caves, sidemount and technical, Martin is a great new addition to the team.

Opening Party @ Robinson Bungalows Koh Rong Samleum
Yesterday we have been celebrating the opening of our new resort, the Robinson Bungalows, on the sunset side of Koh Rong Samleum. The DJ did an amazing job, playing mostly reggae music as well as some danceable tracks. The kitchen served a very tasty barbeque as well as some special local dishes.
The Dive Shop Cambodia staff had a very fun night out dancing on the beach.
After waking up on the tranquil private beach, we decided to go snorkeling where we found a large amount of cuttlefish just on the reef off the beach.
Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this new beach retreat such a special place!
