Blue Spotted Grouper

Found singly in coral rich coastal lagoons and seaward reefs, Cephalopholis argus, the blue spotted grouper, are solitary carnivores that hunt near the bottom usually at dusk. Food is drawn into their mouths by a powerful suction when they open their overly large mouths and then swallowed whole. They feed on small fish and crustaceans. They grow in length up to 30cm and are found at 1-50m depth.

Deep Diving

Ahmed Gabr, a 41-year-old Egyptian, has broken the record for the deepest SCUBA dive, plunging an astonishing 332.35 m (1,090 ft 4.5 in) in the Red Sea off the coast of Dahab,Egypt.

An impressive feat, however, we have just scratched the surface of the oceans depth. Makes you wonder whats way down there?
