Helping to conserve the ocean floor

Cambodias beautiful coral reefs and rich marine life off the coasts of the island Koh Rong Samloem are better protected thanks to the NGO Acting For Life and the Ministry of Tourism working together to supply mooring bouys. Mooring bouys help to avoid impact on coral reefs by allowing boats a safe alternative to anchoring. Every time an anchor is thrown overboard, marine life is damaged and destroyed.

The Dive Shop Cambodia and other dive centers in the area are helping to protect our precious reefs and ecosystem by practicing safe minimum impact diving techniques. We are hoping this will soon lead to mooring bouys around Koh Rong in the near future.
